Applications are invited for two post-doctoral research scientists to work on the development and applications of bioinformatics tools for Next-Generation Sequencing data within the GENMED academic research group. GENMED, jointly coordinated by Jean-François Deleuze and François Cambien, is one of the newly funded laureates of the national call for research centres of excellence and is fully dedicated to enhance personalized medical genomics at the National level. The posts are funded for 18 months in the first instance.

The kick-off meeting for the Laboratory of Excellence in Medical Genomics, GENMED was held on Wednesday, June 18th 2014 at the IG-CNG in Evry. The meeting successfully brought together a hundred participants who attended the presentations of the Labex GENMED, followed by a brain storming session. A visit of the genotyping and sequencing platforms at the CNG was then organised.
